Dr. Baswant Dhani Reddy from PGIMER Chandigarh has won the Bruce Davis Gold Medal in palliative medicine 2009 for young doctors in India. The Bruce Davis Gold Medal Examination is being conducted every year by Institute of Palliative Medicine, Kozhikode for young doctors in the country.
This award is founded by Mr. Wilfrid Bruce Davis from UK, who has extensively contributed to the development of palliative care movement in India .
The Bruce Davis Gold Medal Award includes a gold medal, a citation and cash award of Rs. 25,000
